He was born on 23 December 1954 in Athens, son of Georgios Kodaxakis and Maria Karakatsanis.
He studied Military Justice at Law University of Salonica from 1973 to 1977.
He studied at the Athens University of Economics from 1978 until 1981.
He had his postgraduate studies in Penal Law at the University of Salonica from 1982 until 1984.
In 1978, put under oath Second lieutenant of Military Justice, he was Officer of Judiciary of Army Forces.
In 2002 he retired with the degree of Major General, after resigning from his service, in order to participate in the Municipal election of Municipality of Spetses in October 2002.
During his military service as Officer of Judiciary he was honored with: -The Cross of Battalion of Price -The Cross of Palm (distinguished titles) Promotions always by election.
He has also developed important activity as legal author in various Legal Magazines (e.g. Penal Chronicles, Defense, Legal Bulletins of Legal of State), in that he has published occasionally proposal, orders and his consultations.
On 13 October 2002, he was elected again with high percentage of votes.
He is married with Georgia Colonia, who is an Actuarial Adviser and he has a daughter, named Aliki, who is 17 years old, and student of Lyceum in Leontios School.
